Testing & Sandbox Mode

Every StarPay SGH account is currently sandbox-only — a safe environment to build and test your integration with no real money involved.

Prefer to test interactively instead of writing code first? Try the API Sandbox in your dashboard — fill in a form, see the real request and response live.

Simulating payments

When your customer reaches the checkout page, they'll see Simulate Successful Payment and Simulate Failed Payment buttons instead of a real payment form. Use these to test both outcomes in your integration.

Test Ghana Card numbers

During registration, any number matching this format will verify successfully with realistic-looking mock data:

SMS and push notifications

SMS can now send through a real provider once configured by an admin — otherwise it's logged instead of delivered. Push notifications aren't connected to a live provider yet. Email notifications, in-app notifications, and webhooks are fully functional.

Going live

Live payment processing isn't available yet. This documentation will be updated once a live payment provider is connected.
